Our dog was a “bag of trash” on the side of a county road one Sunday afternoon.

I had spotted a dark object on the side of the road and was agitated that someone didn’t take their trash home with them. ‘It’ ended up being a puppy that had stuck his head into a box. We stopped and were able to coax him to me. I was able to rescue him and intended to take him to a shelter the following day.
The shelter closed the previous week.
So, we now have an incredible one-and-a-half-year-old American pit bull terrier, Bullmastiff, Staffordshire Terrier, and American Staffordshire Terrier cross breed. He’s about 90 pounds and has been a 90-year-old woman’s ‘nanny’ and an absolute joy to my husband and me. He adores our grandkids and the kids also. He’s such a wonderful addition to our family.

Mom named him, Sparkalator’, Sparky for short.
