How do animals manage to survive for so long in [di.sa.ster] conditions like this?

That’s a very lucky woman to get her cat back. Cats are the best people to have in your home.
Hope can appear in the most unexpected places… especially after [lo.ss]. When Terrla Cruse returned to the remains of her [to.rna.do]-[de.str.oyed] home in Joplin, she expected only silence and memories. Instead, a faint sound rose from beneath the [de.br.is]… a soft, fragile meow that no one thought they would hear again.
Terrla and her husband carefully searched through the [wr.eck.age], following the tiny cries coming from below. Beneath the rubble they [di.sc.ove.red] their beloved 13-year-old cat, Lavern. She had [survived] sixteen days [tr.app.ed] in the ruins. Weak, dehydrated, and thin… But incredibly alive. Veterinarians say with proper care she should recover.
Stories like this remind people how powerful the will to survive can be. Even after [di.sas.ter] and [de.str.uct.ion], life keeps fighting forward. Lavern’s quiet strength became a small light in the middle of tragedy… proof that resilience sometimes arrives with whiskers, paws, and a soft determined meow.
So happy for her to reunite with her cat after not seeing him for 2 weeks!
Poor thing was [tr.app.ed] under all that rubble for all that time so it’s understandable he was without food & water!
But with proper care, this cat will hopefully recover! God is great!
Now that’s a true miracle
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR CAT!
