Midway through a Flight on July 5, 2018 — A Dog experienced a medical emergency!

Posted on March 18, 2026 by admin

Heros do fly on planes…💙❤️🥰

So glad they stepped up to help the baby.

Darcy wasn’t a tiny lap dog — she was a big blue-grey and white Bulldog with a blocky head, soft eyes, and a heart that adored her family. Michelle and Steven Burt were traveling with her in the cabin, just like many families do when their dogs are part of the journey.
At first everything seemed normal.
But halfway through the flight, something suddenly changed.

Darcy began breathing heavily. Her powerful chest started rising and falling too fast, and her owners quickly noticed something [te.rrif.ying] — the color in her tongue and gums was turning blue.
She wasn’t getting enough oxygen.
[Pa.nic] spread through the row as Michelle and Steven realized their beloved Bulldog was struggling to [bre.athe] at 30,000 feet.
That’s when JetBlue flight attendants Renaud Fenster and Diane Asher noticed what was happening.

Without hesitation, they rushed over.
To them, Darcy wasn’t “just a dog.” She was a life in [da.ng.er].
They quickly brought an oxygen mask and gently placed it over the big Bulldog face, carefully holding it in place while also using ice packs to help cool her down. Even though Darcy was a strong, muscular dog, in that moment she looked small and [vu.lne.rable], resting quietly while the crew worked to help her breathe.

May be an image of dog

For several tense minutes, the cabin grew quiet — Passengers watched — Her owners held their breath — And the flight attendants stayed calm — Then slowly… something changed — The blue color faded from Darcy’s tongue — Her breathing slowed.

The strong Bulldog who had been fighting for air finally relaxed, leaning into her owner’s arms as the oxygen helped her recover.
Relief swept through the cabin.
Within minutes, Darcy was out of immediate [da.ng.er].
The crew members didn’t have to go that far for a passenger’s dog. It wasn’t written in any rulebook.

But in that moment, they didn’t see an inconvenience.
They saw a family member who needed help.

Because two flight attendants chose compassion over protocol, a loyal blue-grey Bulldog named Darcy safely made it back to the ground that day.
Sometimes heroes don’t wear capes — Sometimes they wear flight uniforms… and they save the biggest hearts on board.

TY to the flight attendants for their compassion!!🥰🥰
God bless this crew that acted quickly to save Darcy!!🙏🙏🙏
Many blessings to them!!💕🙏🙏
