Angelica and Spud, two dogs in Virginia, spent six heartbreaking years in tiny cages, unable to move or even see each other. Angelica, a Saint Bernard, could barely stand, while Spud, a terrier mix, spun in tight circles from stress.
That changed when Rescue & RemEMBER, with help from Knine Rescue, Inc., saved them. In a moving video, the dogs flee their cages, finally free. Though they’d been separated, they immediately reconnected, running and playing for the first time—even if it was just in a kitchen.
Spud was quickly adopted into a loving home, where he now enjoys cuddles and care. Angelica, who faced health issues due to her confinement, took longer to recover but eventually healed and found joy in the simple things.
Now, both dogs have left their painful past behind and are looking forward to a life full of love and happiness.
