A mother’s love expects nothing in return. It is an eternal commitment to give more than one’s strength allows, an effort that transcends human capacity. A mother’s love is the fuel that enables an ordinary human being to do the impossible.
It is to dedicate more time than one’s own life and never be sad about your own, the same one you leave behind. A mother’s love is the highest form of altruism. Only God can understand a mother’s love.
An American shelter is trying to alleviate this situation: the Villalobos Rescue Center, based in Agua Dulce, California (but with shelters in several other states), which specializes in the rehabilitation of pitbull dogs that have been abandoned or neglected by their owners.
One of the episodes of the reality show, on air since 2009 in the USA, told the story of Mama Pitbull, a dog who was spotted wandering the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Residents of the region contacted Villalobos, who called a rescue team.
The rescue center was alerted that a pitbull dog, with a litter of newborns (or about to give birth), was roaming a warehouse area in the city.
Since it was a pitbull, no one had the courage to approach it to find out what was really happening.
The appearance of the dog’s teats showed that she had given birth three or four days before. She was full of milk, but very mistreated and neglected.
But the most impressive thing is that the dog, who was named Mama, asked the rescuers for help.
The volunteers on the team didn’t know what to expect. Given the state they found the pitbull in, they were worried about what might be happening to the puppies. But they didn’t know where to start looking.
But the dog needed to save her puppies. The rescuers put a leash on Mama, who led them a few meters to her place of residence. It was hardly a welcoming place to be.
One of the rescuers, identified as Matt, knocked on the door of the residence. A man answered and, upon seeing Mama with the group, said that she was the dog of his roommate, but that he was currently trapped.
The man was not very cooperative. He simply said that he needed to get rid of the dog and that the puppies must be “somewhere around there,” but he did not allow the group to enter the house.
The dog was immensely grateful to the rescuers. When she finally managed to get close to the puppies, she didn’t know whether to feed them, show them to the staff, or lick the volunteers’ hands in gratitude.
Dogs don’t need fancy cars, big houses or fancy clothes. Food and water are enough. A dog doesn’t care if you are rich or poor. Smart or not. Intelligent or not. Give him your heart and he will give you his.
Look into a dog’s eyes and realize where all the love comes from. How many people can we say the same about? How many people make you feel rare, pure and special? How many people make us feel extraordinary?
A mother’s love is so great, so great, that it is impossible to define it! God could not be everywhere at the same time, that’s why he created mothers.

Many people were extremely moved when they saw the video, in which a mother is reunited with her puppies and sees that they are all safe.
The details about why and how these puppies were rescued are still unknown, but the mother of the puppies shows all her feelings with an expression that shows everything she is feeling.
