Yesterday, a member messaged us about a stray dog hit by a car in front of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Doi Saket, Chiang Mai.
According to the witness, the dog had been lying by the roadside—not in traffic—when a car suddenly ran over it. The heartbreaking moment was captured on video: the dog was trapped under the car, and even after the driver drove off, there was no attempt to help. Injured and in pain, the dog dragged itself off the road.
After verifying the video, we posted urgently to seek help. Thanks to everyone who shared it, the clip eventually reached the company linked to the vehicle.
To their credit, the company quickly stepped forward, offered a full apology, and agreed to cover all medical costs, surgery, and care. The driver also contacted us personally to take responsibility.
Sadly, the dog may be permanently disabled and will likely need a wheelchair and special care. We’ve advised discussing a long-term support plan with the company — possibly finding a shelter or foundation that can provide proper care.
Huge thanks to the company for acting responsibly, and to everyone who helped. If you have experience with disabled dogs or know of a suitable home, please share in the comments.
