Great job on your persistence of catching this dog and for his owners to have him back.
This is why you can never give up.

Buddy went [mi.ssi.ng] in Monticello while visiting from Waco, Texas with his family over Thanksgiving.
Weeks passed — Sightings stopped — The weather turned brutal.
And still, the people searching for him never stopped believing he was out there.

On January 30 at 5:35 p.m., a trail camera photo changed everything.
Someone who had seen Buddy’s flyers spotted him on her camera and made the call.

Within hours, a [tr.ap] was set, resources were pulled together, and Rebekah Little and her husband stayed ready through the night, hoping Buddy would come back before the next round of [da.nge.ro.us] weather moved in.
Just before midnight, he did!!

After more than two months [mi.ssi.ng]… after record cold, zero sightings for weeks, and traveling more than eight miles… Buddy walked into the [tr.ap] and was finally safe.
Today, he’s warm and decompressing thanks to Ami, a local groomer and longtime dog rescuer who stepped up without hesitation.

She’s even volunteered to drive Buddy all the way back home to Texas so his elderly owners don’t have to make another exhausting trip.
This all happened because people paid attention. Because flyers were shared. Because calls were made. And because Rebekah never gave up on a dog she believed could still be found.
After 65 days, Buddy is safe… and soon he will be on his way home.  

We have a wonderful community that comes together in tragic circumstances!!!
