On a chilly July night, a small puppy was left alone on Okie Street, abandoned with no one to care for him. Rescuers were alerted to his plight the following morning when callers reported finding him lying in a ditch, frail and unable to move.
The emaciated nine-month-old pup, who would later be named Shepherd, seemed to have been left to die, his spirit as crushed as his body.
Initially, Shepherd was extremely weak and lethargic. His sad, droopy ears and tail showed his deep sorrow, and his fragile state made the possibility of recovery seem distant.

However, by the end of the first week in his foster home, Shepherd began showing signs of improvement. He managed to stand on his own, take a few shaky steps, and even started to interact with the other dogs around him.
A large Rottweiler became his closest companion, a friendship that symbolized Shepherd’s growing confidence and happiness.

Over the following weeks, Shepherd underwent a remarkable transformation. By the third week, he was enjoying regular walks, gradually turning his tentative steps into confident strides.
Reflecting his newfound strength and vitality, he was renamed Tig. No longer the sick, abandoned puppy found in the ditch, Tig blossomed into a lively and spirited dog, eager to embrace his new lease on life.
