Enzo, who was seriously [in.jur.ed] while protecting officers in the line of duty, made it through a tense and uncertain night. During the incident, he was [st.abb.ed] while putting himself between [da.ng.er] and his team. He was rushed straight into emergency surgery to treat his [cr.iti.cal in.jur.ies].
After several hours of intensive care, veterinarians were able to stabilize him. He’s now resting while being closely monitored.
His handler has stayed by his side the entire time, refusing to leave him. While his recovery will take time and care, the department confirmed that the most critical stage is now behind him.
Once he fully recovers, Enzo will retire from active duty and finally get the peaceful life he’s earned.
Officials also expressed gratitude to the community for the overwhelming support, prayers, and encouragement shared throughout the long night of his surgery.
