She apologized sincerely for her earlier comment and shared that she had been under immense stress, working double shifts while caring for a sick member. My wife’s frustration quickly faded as she listened. On the drive home, she admitted she had expected me to complain, but I told her that sometimes people don’t need punishment—they need compassion.
