Even looks like hes trying to close his eyes

Father Carlo welcomed them and made them part of the Church’s activities, to show the whole world that dogs have a place in God’s kingdom and that they are sentient beings who need love and are capable of love
Simón did not know millions of people would eventually see this moment. He simply did what he has learned to do over years of being part of a church community.
During a prayer at Santo Domingo Savio parish in Villavicencio, Colombia, Father Carlos Mario Peña Lopera stood beside a woman with his hand resting gently on her head. Next to her sat Simón, a rescued dog who has become a familiar presence around the parish.
Then Simón slowly lifted one paw toward the priest.
Instead of moving him away, Father Carlos took the paw gently in his hand and continued the prayer.
It lasted only a moment, but the image traveled far beyond the church.
And there is a much bigger story behind that little paw.
Simón is not a dog who randomly wandered into a service that day. He and another rescued dog named Luna have accompanied Father Carlos for years. Noticias Caracol reports that the two have been beside him during Mass for more than six years.
People in the parish are used to seeing them near the altar and alongside the priest during his daily activities.
In fact, this was not even their first viral church moment.
Weeks earlier, Simón and Luna were beside the altar when the music began during Mass. Both dogs suddenly started barking and howling along with the songs. Father Carlos smiled and continued the service while his unexpected four-legged choir joined in.
Videos of that moment eventually reached millions of viewers.
But perhaps the sweetest part of their story happened long before anyone pulled out a phone.
These were dogs who needed somewhere to belong.
They were rescued, welcomed and allowed to become part of everyday life rather than being pushed to the edges of it.
Nobody can know what Simón understood about that prayer.
But we do know what happened next.
He offered his paw.
And the priest took it.
Sometimes compassion creates its own little traditions.
Love that Father Carlos did not turn Simón’s paw into a spectacle. He simply accepted it and continued praying, almost as if his little companion belonged there all along… He was sitting among people and routines he already knew.
Animals have much to teach mankind regarding compassion and humanity!
Not all angels have wings!
Some have paws and wagging tails!
