The little pup trotted right into the station like he owned the place, ears flopping, tail wagging. No collar, no leash—just big, curious eyes and a playful energy that had the whole room smiling.

The puppy responded by jumping onto the table and smacking his paws over the officer’s face, earning a round of laughter from the other cops.

Officer Daniels knocked on the door. No answer. He knocked again, louder this time. Still nothing. The puppy began to bark, scratching at the door with his tiny paws.
“We need to check this out,” Daniels said, his voice low. “Something’s not right here.”
