They discovered that Holcomb lacked calcium in his bones because he had been separated from his mother too soon and had not been breastfed.
The calcium deficiency had affected the development of his leg bones, making walking difficult.
Holcomb’s foster mom began adding supplements to his diet, hoping he would improve. She also took him to specialists, who recommended splints to help his legs.
Soon after, Holcomb received the best news. A wonderful family fell in love with him and decided to adopt him.
