The farmer’s husky was in c.r ìtical condition.
C.r ∪elly neglected. Hungry.
Cold. Barely holding on to life.
When we found him, his body was covered in w.o ∪nds,
his skin eaten away, his strength almost gone.
We came for him. The first thing we did was bathe him.
Thousands of maggots were crawling over his body, buried deep inside the w.o ∪nds.
They were incredibly difficult to remove.
For more than an hour, we cleaned him again and again.
After that, we rushed him to the veterinary clinic.
We washed his w.o ∪nds repeatedly with water, applied maggot killer,
and finally sprayed iodine.
He hadn’t ea.t ℮n for nearly four days.
His eye sockets were sunken. His body was severely dehydrated.
Every touch had to be gentle. Every movement slow and patient.
He was still b.l ℮eding. Still oo.z ìng.
But we were not giving up.
Today, we cleaned him again using healing solution and applied oxytetracycline powder
to stop infection and absorb moisture.
The w.o ∪nd was massive.
Yet despite everything, the husky could still stand.
He tried to walk — though he often lost control
and sometimes fell.
Still, he tried.
And then something beautiful happened.
He began to eat. Actively. With appetite.
That was hope.
We named him Shua.
One day, Shua went outside to sunbathe.
He felt the warmth. He saw the sunlight.
And with it — he saw hope.
Thank you to everyone who cared,
everyone who prayed, everyone who believed in him.
Shua had lost nearly 80% of his body to maggots and infection.
And yet…
For the first time, we finally saw his blue eyes.
Clear. Gentle. Alive.
The skin that had been ea.t ℮n away began to heal.
The thick scabs slowly started to peel off.
Day by day, Shua grew stronger.
More confident. More handsome.
He even began to act playful — charming, sweet, almost shy.
Shua is a warm soul.
One night, he gently hugged a little one and fell asleep peacefully beside him.
After everything he endured, he chose kindness.
This is why we rescue.
Because even when humans fail them, these dogs still choose love.
